Bra Quality Control Checklist for Importers and Brands

Sourcing Guides

Bra quality control should compare the order with approved requirements. A generic visual inspection cannot replace a product-specific specification, measurement method and acceptance plan.

Confirm the inspection reference

Identify the purchase order, style, color, size, approved sample and current specification. Remove superseded documents so inspectors and suppliers use the same version.

Check appearance and workmanship

Review symmetry, cup and wing shape, stitching, seams, trims, elastic application, closures and visible defects against agreed criteria. Record findings by defect type and location.

Verify measurements correctly

Use the approved measurement method, sample size plan and tolerances. State whether products are measured relaxed, stretched or under another defined condition.

Review labels and packaging

Check label content and placement, size and color identification, barcode information, unit packing, assortment and carton marks against approved artwork and instructions.

Define the decision process

Agree the inspection stage, sampling approach, acceptance criteria and responsibility for corrective action before shipment. Market-specific testing or compliance remains part of the buyer’s stated requirements.

Key takeaway

Effective bra quality control connects inspection evidence to the approved product, measurement, branding and packing requirements.
