Lingerie packaging is part of the order specification. It should be approved with the same discipline as the product because it affects presentation, identification and shipment preparation.
List every label and printed item
Identify the main label, size label, care label, hangtag, barcode label, unit package and carton mark required for the project.
Control artwork versions
Use clear file names and an approval record for language, size, color, material, barcode and placement information. State which artwork version is final.
Define lingerie packaging by unit and assortment
Explain how each unit is packed and how sizes and colors should be grouped. Add any retailer or distribution-center instructions that are relevant to the order.
Confirm before bulk packing
Packaging samples or digital proofs should identify open points and responsible approvers. Market-specific requirements remain the buyer’s responsibility to state and verify.
A packaging brief should connect approved artwork, placement, unit packing, assortment rules and carton identification.
Review the packed garment as a sample
First, check that the package fits the actual garment without unintended folding or compression. Compare the visible label with the style, color and size record. For a set, specify whether each piece needs its own identification and whether the pieces ship together.
Next, verify artwork against the approved file and test barcode readability using the agreed system. Record the packaging dimensions and intended carton arrangement. Do not approve a material substitution only because it looks similar in a photograph.
Connect packing decisions to the sample approval record and order quality checklist. Then send the packaging brief with the product references. Confirm material options, print feasibility, costs and any required documentation for the specific project.
