A bra size name is not a complete fit specification. Wholesale buyers should define the target sizing system, measurement method and fit approval process before comparing samples or confirming an order.
Identify the target sizing system
State the destination market and the size labels expected by the customer. If size conversion is required, record the approved conversion rather than relying on an unverified generic chart.
Use measurable product points
Agree how key points such as underband, cup-related dimensions, wing height, strap length and closure position are measured. Each measurement should have a defined method and permitted tolerance.
Separate garment measurements from body guidance
Product measurements, body-size guidance and customer-facing labels serve different purposes. Keep them in separate controlled documents so one is not mistaken for another.
Approve fit on the intended construction
Underwire, wireless, padded, lace and stretch constructions can behave differently. Fit comments should identify the exact style, size, material state and sample revision being reviewed.
Control grading and final labels
Confirm how the approved base size is translated across the range and verify label artwork before bulk production. Record any market-specific language or care information supplied by the buyer.
A reliable bra size plan links the target market, measurement method, fit sample, grading review and final label information.
